You may purchase a sample (single) piece, which is available for most of our stair mats models. 

Our stair mats come in 4 different sizes.

No, our stair mats are available only in standard sizes indicated for each model. 

Please be advised that we do not describe colors.  Generally speaking, color is a personal perception and everybody sees them differently.  The pictures of our products are taken under different lighting conditions to better represent them. Please also note that there maybe a slight difference in actual color due to the colors of display. Please review carefully all available images on our website, or simply buy a sample piece to ensure color match. 

The backing of the stair mats does not affect adhesion qualities.  The stair mats attach to the steps by special double-sided self–adhesive tape, which is similar on all products.

The stair mats can be installed on both squared and rounded step types.  However, Type B stair mats are better suited for steps with rounded bull nose.  They have a wider plastic corner profile at the back with adhesive tape and therefore, the coverage surface is larger.

Even though the original intention of these stair mats is to be applied onto hard surface (hardwood, laminate), many people use them on carpeted stairs.  We have many customers who bought our stair mats to cover overused carpet on their stairs as it is too expensive to replace it or to cover imperfections on it.  If the carpet nap on your stairs is thick we recommend additional adhesive tape application. Please request it when you place your order. 

No. The stair mats are intended to be used inside only.

To clean the stair mats simply vacuum them and use any widely-available carpet cleaning products for spot cleaning.  It is not recommended to use wet vacuuming/washing because of the adhesive tape at the back.  

The installation of our stair mats is very simple and can be done by anybody with no experience, even your kids can do it!  Please review the Installation video to see the installation process in three easy steps.  It is that easy!!!

 

The stair mats are not permanent.  You can remove them from the steps by carefully pulling them off.

Stair mats are made to adhere to the steps with a double-sided self-adhesive tape. 

The professional contractor is required to install carpet runner on the staircase.  The installation cost depends on many factors and may vary from hundreds to thousands $$.  We do not specialize in stair runner’s installation service.  We offer a great affordable alternative – stair mats. No installation is required, just lay them down!

All our sales are final. We do not accept exchanges/returns. It guarantees our customers that they buy brand new products from pet and smoke free environment, and for hygienic reasons. 

Once you add the product of your choice to the shopping cart and enter your shipping address, the shipping cost will be calculated and displayed. 

ComfortSteps is not responsible for international tariffs and duties. Customers are fully responsible for paying all applicable tariffs, duties and taxes imposed and collected by their country upon receiving the product and all associated brokerage fees. 

We ship most orders within 2 business days after receiving your payment.  Every effort is made to ship your order as soon as possible.  The average delivery time is 1-4 business days within Canada and 4-8 business days to the USA.  Please note that our standard shipping service does not guarantee delivery time. If expedited service is required, please contact us prior to placing your order for availability and cost.  Please note that international shipments are subject to Customs clearance, which may affect the length of delivery time.

The faster delivery might be available for an additional cost.  Please contact us for availability, rates and conditions.

Each package is insured against loss or damage during shipment. The shipping insurance is included in the shipping and handling cost of your order.  The tracking information is available to track your order and confirm delivery. Please contact us if your order is not delivered within the reasonable time and we will file a claim with the shipping company.Â
